On Track Meals Butter Chicken & Rice – Single is a ready-to-eat MRE designed for simple, flavour-forward fuel in the outdoors. Made in Australia, this single serve delivers fully cooked butter chicken paired with rice in a durable, shelf-stable retort pouch built for backcountry reliability.

This is not a freeze-dried meal and does not require rehydration. Eat it cold straight from the pouch, or heat by placing the sealed pouch in boiling water or using a flameless heater bag until warmed through. No water ratios or standing time — just heat and eat.

Heavier than freeze-dried alternatives but highly convenient, On Track Meals Butter Chicken & Rice – Single is well suited to shorter hikes, emergency kits or trips where ease and dependable preparation matter more than minimising pack weight.

Long Shelf Life

All our freeze dry meals have a shelf life of at least 12 months from the date of purchase. From time to time we sell freeze dry with a shorter shelf life but this will be marked as 'clearance' and you'll snag a discount.

Instructions

  • Store the meals anywhere, they last for 3 years
  • To prepare, just throw the pouch in boiling water for 3 minutes (or use one of our Flameless Heater bags)
  • Eat them on their own or with your favourite side dishes
