Offgrid Good Rice – Single is a ready-to-eat MRE designed for simple, dependable fuel in the outdoors. Made in Australia, this single serve delivers a fully cooked rice-based meal in a durable, shelf-stable retort pouch built for backcountry use.

This is not a freeze-dried meal and does not require rehydration. Eat it cold straight from the pouch, or heat by placing the sealed pouch in boiling water for several minutes until warmed through. No measuring, no waiting for water absorption — just heat and eat.

Slightly heavier than freeze-dried options but extremely straightforward, Offgrid Good Rice – Single is well suited to shorter hikes, emergency kits or trips where convenience and reliability matter more than absolute pack weight.

12 Month Shelf Life

All our freeze dry and MRE meals have at least 12 months of shelf life left, usually way way more, at time of purchase. Anything shorter than that, we'll sell it as a 'clearance' item at a discount. More info.
